1. E.M. The Messenger Hermes is characterized by the movement of this ethereal figure who ran to deliver messages and thus became the connecting link between people, regardless of their social class, since the divine interacts with the human. How did the messenger Hermes serve as inspiration for your sculpture “The Spirit of Hermes” and how do you connect him to your work?
M.N. Takis Efstathiou brought me first Visit in Greece 1995 at that time Greek mythology became real that inspired me well and all gods include Hermes parfected well with my artistic movement.
2. E.M. How does the material you have selected relate to and serve the content of “The Spirit of Hermes”?
M.N. Mirror finished Stainless steel is shine and strong sureface if keeped clean by water that is parmanentry stay there. Shape of movement and shiny surface like a Hermes.
3. E.M. What "Greek" elements did you choose to highlight in this particular work, which is permanently located at the starting point of the Marathon route?
M.N. Ex-mayor of Marathon Spiros Zagaris invited me to install symbol of Marathon for 2500 years anniversary Battle of Marathon.Installed starting point of marathon so perfect location.
4. E.M. Two other projects of yours have been implemented in Greece. “Apollo's Mirror” in Delphi in 2005 and “Lefcadio Hearn – Odyssey of an Open Mind” in 2014. Would you like to tell us about them? Do they have anything in common with “The Spirit of Hermes”?
M.N. Lefcadio Hearn is deeply involved in Japan, not only in culture but also in its spiritual element.
5. E.M. What did your visit to Greece contribute to your artistic journey? Have you given other "Greek" titles to your works? How do you think Japanese and Greek cultures relate (or do not relate) to each other?
M.N. Greek mythology's and phrothofhy effect world wide that we learned. I believe artistic elements based on Greek art like Venus of Miro.

I've been living in the USA 48 years and learning world art history for my contemporary art. My base is Japan however international artists have to be beyond borders, free of mind and universal creation for future generations.
America gave me endless possibilities of art from classic to contemporary. I learned western history here and saw real classic art in Greece that gave me a realistic vision for my art direction.
My public works permanently installed 31 locations in the world. I'm happy to share my art for future generations.
